Riding for the Disabled

Riding Group

At RDA, the horses and ponies provide therapy, achievement and enjoyment to people with disabilities all over the UK. The network of 500 volunteer groups organise activities such as riding, carriage driving, vaulting, showjumping and Hippotherapy to over 25,000 people each year. They have been carrying out life-changing activities for over 40 years, and take great pride in the exceptional standard of their instructors and volunteers (18,000 in all). They offer activities for all age groups and, wherever possible, to people with any disability. They rely on voluntary help, donations and legacies to deliver our services. As it is volunteer run organisation to they only operate on certain days and are always looking for new helpers (over aged 14).

The Ackworth RDA group sessions are held Station Road, WF7 7HP. Their sessions are on Monday and Tuesday evenings 4:30pm – 7:00pm.
