Schools

Where in the village you live (High, Low, Moortop) will dictate which school is your designated catchment school. Lots of the schools listed below are not in any catchment area for Ackworth but are requested in the school selection maybe due to where your child went to primary school or just becuase you want your child to go there.

High Schools

There are 6 main state high schools and 4 private schools which the children in the village typically attend. There is also one specialist high school right here in the village for children with special needs. We are very lucky to have such a great choice of schools which have bus transport collecting and dropping off in the village.

There are 3 state primary schools right here in the village and a few in the surrounding areas which children from Ackworth attend. There is one private school in the village but also a few others which children attend. There is an accompanied bus service for a couple of the primary school.
